复旦大学的校园。
Today, I finally had time to walk around Fudan University, my host university for my time in Shanghai. Fudan is arguably the best university in Shanghai, and like many other Chinese universities, it balances a feel of modern and ancient architecture side by side.
There are gardens with koi filled ponds along with Chinese poems and writings sprinkled around campus. There are two tall buildings in the center that guides near by students to campus, and there are plenty of beautiful trees on campus to provide shade for the hot days that never seems to cease.
As we only have 20 days left in the program, I am very glad that I came to Fudan for my Chinese studies. I've learned more than I expected, and I'm excited for the Boren oral exam again because I want to see how much I've improved from my initial "High Intermediate" status.
Right now I'm also working on my Fulbright application to go to Thailand. We just finished our mid-terms last week so I finally have some time to focus on other things besides dictation and test preparations!
